Мы у вас дома (Are we at your place)? – Да, представьте себе (So we are). Тут я и живу (This is where I live). Нравится (Do you like) или не очень (or not very much)?

Нас много? (Are there many of us? Are we many?)? Нас больше десяти (Are we over ten)? – Да, представьте себе (So we are). Нас больше десяти (We are more than ten / over ten).

Мы в вашей команде (Are we in your team)? – Да, мы все вместе в одной команде.

Мы должны ехать туда? – Весьма вероятно (most probably), you must.

Мы в одном поезде (Are we in the same train)? – Да, представь себе (So we are). Я вижу, ты в восторге (you are delighted; you are in delight).

Мы в одном вагоне (Are we in the same carriage)? – Догадываюсь, что да (I guess so).

Мы в одном самолете? – Да, какая удача (What a luck!). Поболтаем вволю (We’ll have a good chat).

Мы слишком заняты (Are we too busy)? – К сожалению (unfortunately), да (we are).

Мы у вас на работе (Are we at your work)? – Да (we are). Добро пожаловать.

Мы торопимся (Are we in a hurry)? – Ну, конечно. А что? (And why?).

Нас семеро всего (Are we seven all in all)? – Я думаю, что да (I think so). Если кто-нибудь еще не подойдет (if there isn’t anyone else coming).

Are they your acquaintances? – Quite so. Let’s go and I’ll acquaint you with them.

Are they at the Baikal? – Yes, they arrived yesterday.

Are they at your place? – Yes, they’ll stay here for a couple of days.

Are they sorry about that? – Not much.

Are they worried? – Not very much.

Are they far from here? – On the contrary. They are close by.

Are they glad? – Quite.

Are they pleased with the reception? – I think so.

Это ваши папки (Are these your folders)? – Совершенно верно. Это мои папки.

Данные точны [Are the data exact (precise [-s]; true; accurate)]? – Да, точны.

Они здесь? – Да. Они давно пришли (They came long ago).

Hаши гости в гостинице? – Нет, они уехали в (leave for) музей. Вернутся через два часа примерно (They’ll be back in about two hours).

Их двадцать (Are they twenty)? – Да, примерно столько (about that many).

Сувениры хорошие, самобытные (original, distinctive)? – Eще бы! Да еще как! (I should think so\ and how). Мастера (craftsman) – истинные самородки (true native talents).

Гости уже здесь? – Какие еще гости (guest)? Ничего еще не готово (Nothing yet is ready). Остается еще много чего сделать (Much yet remains to be done).

Они устали? – Немного.

Они прилежные (diligent)? – Вполне. Мы довольны ими (pleased with them; content with them).

The special questions

What are you? – I’m a student.

Who are you? – I’m Nick.

Which hotel are you in? – In the «Geser» hotel.

When are you usually at work? – From 8 till 5 (from 8 a.m. till 5 p.m.).

Where are you? – I’m in my office.

How are you? – I’m well, thanks.

And how are you? – Quite well, thank you.

How many are you? – We’re 7 all in all (всего).

How long are you here? – I’m here not for too long, just for a couple of days.

Who are you with? – With my colleagues.

Why are you here and not in the South? – Combining business and rest.
