With the Chocolate River behind them, Alex and Benny continued their journey, eager to see what other wonders awaited them in the Land of Sweets.
Chapter 4: The cookie city
After their delightful journey across the Chocolate River, Alex and Benny continued their adventure through the Land of Sweets. The path ahead led them to a place they had only heard about in stories: the legendary Cookie City.
As they approached, the sweet aroma of freshly baked cookies filled the air. Alex’s eyes widened in amazement as the city came into view. The buildings were made entirely of cookies! There were gingerbread houses with icing trim, chocolate chip skyscrapers, and even a grand castle made of shortbread.
– Welcome to Cookie City, – Benny said with a grin. -This is one of the most delicious places in the Land of Sweets.
Alex couldn’t contain their excitement. -This is incredible! I’ve never seen anything like it.
As they entered the city, they were greeted by the friendly residents, who were made of colorful gummy candy. The gummy people waved and smiled, their jelly-like bodies jiggling with every movement.
– Hello there!» called a gummy bear with a bright red bow tie. -Welcome to Cookie City! My name is Gummy George, and I’m the mayor of this sweet town.
Alex and Benny introduced themselves, and Gummy George offered to give them a tour of the city. They walked down the cookie-paved streets, marveling at the sights around them. There were cookie shops selling every type of cookie imaginable, from oatmeal raisin to double chocolate fudge.
– Over here is the Cookie Clock Tower, – Gummy George said, pointing to a tall tower with a clock face made of sugar cookies. And that’s the Biscuit Bridge, which leads to the Jellybean Park.
As they explored, Alex and Benny couldn’t resist sampling some of the delicious treats. They nibbled on cookie walls, munched on biscuit benches, and even tried a piece of the gingerbread lampposts.
