Home and family are vitally important to Taurus. They like children. They also like a comfortable and perhaps glamorous home – something they can show off. They tend to buy heavy, ponderous furniture – usually of the best quality. This is because Taurus likes a feeling of substance in their environment. Their house is not only their home but their place of creativity and entertainment. The Taurus’ home tends to be truly their castle. If they could choose, Taurus people would prefer living in the countryside to being city-dwellers. If they cannot do so during their working lives, many Taurus individuals like to holiday in or even retire to the country, away from the city and closer to the land.

At home a Taurus is like a country squire – lord (or lady) of the manor. They love to entertain lavishly, to make others feel secure in their home and to encourage others to derive the same sense of satisfaction as they do from it. If you are invited for dinner at the home of a Taurus you can expect the best food and best entertainment. Be prepared for a tour of the house and expect to see your Taurus friend exhibit a lot of pride and satisfaction in his or her possessions.

Taurus people like children but they are usually strict with them. The reason for this is they tend to treat their children – as they do most things in life – as their possessions. The positive side to this is that their children will be well cared for and well supervised. They will get every material thing they need to grow up properly. On the down side, Taurus can get too repressive with their children. If a child dares to upset the daily routine – which Taurus loves to follow – he or she will have a problem with a Taurus parent.

Major Trends

Uranus has been in your 12th house of spirituality for some years now and will be there for a few more years yet. This indicates dramatic spiritual change – interior change. It might not be visible to others as yet, but in due course it will be. You are in a period of great spiritual experimentation and discovery.

Saturn has been in your 7th house of love for the past two years. This has been a challenging period for the love life. Those who are married have had their relationships tested, while those who are singles most likely stayed single. There have been disappointments with friends and love relationships have broken up. Happily things are improving in this department as Saturn moves out of your 7th house for most of the year (he will retrograde back in for only three months and then leave permanently). Saturn will spend most of 2015 in your 8th house of transformation and regeneration. This shows that the spouse, partner or current love is having financial challenges and needs to consolidate and re-order their finances. It also shows a need to bring the libido under more control and not to overdo things.

Jupiter entered your 4th house in July last year, and will be there until August 11 this year. This shows happiness in home and family affairs, with good family support and happy moves or renovations. You are in a period of great psychological growth and progress. More details later.

Jupiter enters your 5th house of creativity and fun on August 11. This heralds an enjoyable, happy kind period for the rest of the year. You will have the wherewithal and the opportunity to explore the rapturous side of life. It shows fertility for Taurus people of childbearing age and prosperity and success for the children or children figures in your life.

Your important areas of interest in the year ahead will be home and family (until August 11); children, fun and personal creativity (from August 11 onwards); love and romance (from June 15 to September 18); sex, other people’s money, debt and personal transformation (January 1 to June 15 and September 18 to the end of the year); religion, philosophy, metaphysics and higher education; friends, groups and group activities; and spirituality.

Health

If health has been good over the past two years it should get even better this year. Only one long-term planet – Saturn – has been stressing you out, and Saturn now (for the most part) is away from his stressful aspect. If there have been health problems you should hear good news this year.

The north node of the Moon spends most of the year in your 6th house of health. This shows good fortune in this area. However, sometimes it indicates an ‘excessive’ focus on health – even where it isn’t warranted. The problem here could be hypochondria, magnifying little minor things, into big things. Sometimes this aspect leads to ‘health fanaticism’. This focus should be directed properly towards healthy lifestyles and regimes.

Venus is both your personal planet and your health planet. This in itself shows that health is important to you and that you tend to focus attention here. It shows that your state of health immediately affects on your personal appearance. For you, good health is the best cosmetic there is. With this kind of aspect, if you feel under the weather you should do something that enhances your appearance: buy a new outfit, have your hair styled, or buy some nice accessory. You’ll start to feel better.

Good though your health is, you can make it even better. Give more attention to the neck and throat, and to the kidneys and hips (the reflexes to these areas are shown on the chart). The neck and throat are always important for Taurus. Regular neck massage is always powerful for you and craniosacral therapy is also good. Hips should be regularly massaged, and kidney detoxing is generally a good idea for you too.

Since Taurus rules the throat and the vocal chords, they respond very well to sound-oriented therapies – chanting mantras, singing and humming in the different keys. Venus, as our regular readers know, is a fast-moving planet. During the year she will move through all the signs and houses of your Horoscope. Siblings and sibling figures need to take on a strict health regime this year. They need to give more attention to the spine, knees, teeth and skin. Parents or parent figures could have had surgical procedures over the past few years and this trend continues in the year ahead. Detox regimes are good for them too. The spouse, partner or current love seems very experimental in health matters these days. They will benefit from alternative therapies.

Home and Family

Your 4th house of home and family has been powerful since July of last year as we have mentioned. Thus this area is a major (and happy) focus this year. Moves or renovations could have happened last year but are still likely in the year ahead. Sometimes people don’t actually move but acquire an additional home. These are happy things. There is good fortune in the purchase or sale of a home and in the residential real estate field in general.

The family circle gets enlarged this year (and it could have happened last year too). Generally this is through marriage or births. But often one meets people who are like family – people who play this kind of role in the life.

As we have mentioned, Taurus women of childbearing age are much more fertile than usual. The whole year ahead is like this.

Parents and parent figures in your life are prospering this year and seem more generous with you. Family support, in general, is good. The children or children figures in your life become prosperous this year too – especially after August 11. If they are very young they receive expensive, big ticket items. If they are older they travel more and live the high life.

Siblings and sibling figures are having a status quo kind of year. They seem basically content where they are. A lunar eclipse on April 4 could shake things up a bit, but this need not result in a move. Parents and parent figures are staying put this year – children too. Children in your life might feel cramped in their home but a move is not advisable. There are delays, delays, delays.

Moves for you, Taurus, have good aspects until August 11. Renovations – especially major ones – are good until September 25, while redecorating or beautifying the home is good from June 5 to July 19.

In the year ahead there will be two solar eclipses – one on March 20 and the other on September 13. These will tend to cause short-term disturbance in the home and family. Family members will be more temperamental during those periods and it is good to have more patience with them.

Finance and Career

Money is always important to a Taurus, but this year less so than usual. Your 2nd money house is not strong. On the positive side you have more freedom to shape this area as you will. The cosmos is not obstructing you. On the other hand, reduced interest tends towards the status quo. You seem basically content with finance and have no need to make major dramatic changes.

Taurus people have a naturally good feel for real estate. The basic instincts are sound and this year this feeling is better than usual – especially in the residential real estate area. There is good fortune here – especially until August 11. I also like industries that cater to children – toy makers, games developers and the entertainment industry. You have a good feeling for this from August 11 onwards.

As we have mentioned earlier, family support seems unusually strong this year.

Your financial planet, Mercury, is very fast moving. Only the Moon moves faster than him. Thus earnings and earning opportunities come to you in a variety of ways and through a variety of people and situations. Jupiter’s move into Leo last July was very good for the career. September 2014 was exceptionally good. There were promotions and pay rises, either with the present company or a new one, and there was more recognition for your professional achievements and perhaps even honours or awards. There is more of this in the year ahead. March and June 2015 look especially strong for career.

Generally career elevation translates into higher earnings. But earnings don’t seem the main consideration for you. Rather, they are just a side effect.

There have been many career changes over the past few years, and perhaps a few ‘near death’ experiences in the career. But things look more stable for the year ahead. Jupiter’s beautiful aspects to your career planet Uranus also indicate happy career opportunities that come to you.

Uranus has been in your spiritual 12th house for some years now. Thus (as we have written in past years) you are more idealistic about your career. Just making money and being successful is not enough for you. You want to do something that is meaningful, something that benefits the world as a whole. You want to feel ‘divine approval’ for your career path. This indicates that getting involved in charities and altruistic causes (causes that you believe in) will further your career. You make important connections through those activities. And in many cases, Taurus, you will actually opt for a spiritual career.

The career of a parent or parent figure will improve greatly this year. The past two years have been very challenging for this person. Sibling and sibling figures have experienced great career instability for some years now. Things will settle down a bit in the year ahead. Children and children figures have a static, stable kind of career year – though they seem prosperous.

The spouse, partner or current love needs to reorganize the finances this year. He or she needs to work harder for earnings than usual, to go the extra mile. He or she seems to be carrying additional financial burdens – things that can’t be escaped.

Favourable numbers for finance are 1, 3, 6, 8 and 11.

Love and Social Life

As we have mentioned, the past two years have been difficult in the love department. Saturn has been camped out in your 7th house of love; marriages have been tested and many have broken up. However, those that survived are probably better than ever. By now the problems have been ironed out.

In general social activity has been less than it is usually. This is not punishment, but a reordering of the social life. The cosmos wants you to focus on quality relationships – even though they are fewer in number – rather than many relationships of a lukewarm nature.

Saturn will spend most of the year in your 8th house of regeneration. Thus the sex life and sexual expression is getting reordered. This means your libido might not be up to its usual standards. Here too the tendency will be to focus on the quality of sex rather than the quantity. If you are involved romantically with a Taurus allow more warm-up time – more foreplay – when having sex.

Singles have been dating less, but this will improve in the year ahead. There could be a social ‘dry spell’ though from June 15 to September 18.

With Saturn in your 7th house of love for the past two years, you could have been perceived as cold, aloof and unfeeling. You are not like this but this could have been the perception. So, it was necessary (and will still be necessary from June 15 to September 18 when Saturn retrogrades back into your 7th house) to make special efforts to project warmth and love to others.

While marriage doesn’t seem in the cards this year, there will be plenty of romantic opportunities of the ‘less serious’ kind: love affairs and amusement.

The love life will really come into its own after September 18. Saturn will be out of your 7th house and Jupiter will be making nice aspects to your love planet, Pluto. Serious romance can happen after September 18. Social activity will increase then too. The two-and-a-half-year dry spell will have made you better able to deal with real love when it comes. But there’s no need to rush into anything.
