Not noticing another hump on the road, Sonechka, unable to hold the steer- ing wheel, accelerated for some reason, then gave a sharp brake, they found themselves in a ditch, after which the jeep stalled and did not want to start again.

Having stopped a Mercedes-Benz car passing by, they begged its driver to pull out their car and tow them to the nearest car service center.

He obligingly agreed. And then, being towed by the black Mercedes, two girl- friends, on settling comfortably in their jeep, began to leaf through a fashion magazine.

They were so carried away by its content that Sofochka forgot that after all she should glance at the road.

She only broke away from the magazine when her brand new silver vehicle hit its savior really hard. The Mercedes driver got upset:

– Oh, what have you done, dear lady! Do you have any idea of how much the repair will cost?

– Oh, I’ve never been towed before. – Sofia hastened to justify herself. – Forgive me, please do not be angry, I will pay you everything, sure, just tow us to the repair shop!

– Okay, let’s go further, but I beg. be careful – my car is completely new, as well as yours.

Take two

But there one more time, Solomonida’s driving skills failed – despite the fact that she tried her best to keep the right distance, she did not manage to keep her foot on the brake at the right time and, accordingly, drove into Mer- cedes again.

At the same time, trying to soften the impending collision, the woman began to sharply twist the steering wheel to the left. As a result, the car was driven in the same direction, and, having demolished the taillight and bumper of the unfortunate Mercedes, it drove into the ditch, smoothly pulling the car be- hind it.

The stunned driver of the latter caught himself in time and rushed forward, not allowing the jeep to slide into the ditch. The owner of the Mercedes got upset:

– Oh, who issued you a driver’s license, dear lady? Show me this pest! – he cried with bitterness. – Now you can’t pay me off! Well, come on – get into my car, dear ladies, I will bring you to the service, and then the local mechanics will tow your jeep there.

Day results

And so they did. As a result, Sofochka nevertheless paid off both the Mer- cedes driver and the car service worker who had restored both cars. But all that cost her pretty expensive.

Then the ladies finally got to the seller of the laptop, and Sonya paid for the purchase, discounting the last bit of her money from the credit card. Well, and then, almost without incident, she got home.

It was quite without incedent, except for the trafic cop who took away her driver’s license and wrote a huge fine for the fact that she, having gotten a little bit lost on the road, twice crossed two solid lines right in front of him.

After that, the car was taken to the impound lot, and she finally got home by taxi.

So Sonya finished her story.

– You don’t say! – David exclaimed, scratching his head and trying to realize how such a bunch of troubles could happen to a person in a single day. – Wow!
