Even if a person does not practice intermittent dry fasting, but nevertheless starts to pay attention to maintaining dry intervals between meals, then such a person will significantly improve their health and considerably extend their lifespan

Sleep and Death

Sleep and death are similar states in that in both cases a person has practically no conscious control over themselves. The same can be said about coma and anabiosis. In ordinary waking life, a person can think, for example: “Every day I will go to work and work” – after this thought, the person will indeed do just that, will actually go to work every day. This feature – the ability to ensure the implementation of one’s decisions – is possessed by the brain precisely in the physical world. This is a feature of the physical body. The physical brain has the ability to set conscious goals and then achieve them. However, in sleep or after death, the soul loses this ability to set and achieve goals. The soul loses this ability because it does not have the physical brain at its disposal. Without the physical brain, setting tasks for oneself and following through on them becomes impossible. In sleep, the soul behaves spontaneously. As a rule, in sleep it finds itself in places that are connected with subconscious motives. And these motives are dictated to the soul by needs, desires and habits. A soul without a body is constantly carried away by the wind of desires. In sleep, the soul chases goals that appear as fixed ideas.

The soul moves the body. Without a soul, the body cannot move on its own. Without a soul, the body is either asleep, or in a coma, or in anabiosis, or dead. Somewhere in the physical brain of a human there is some special astral magnet. This astral magnet, when switched on, attracts a specific, particular soul. It does not respond to any other souls. And the soul does not respond to any other magnets. To access the body, the soul has a very complex, strictly individual encoding. When the physical brain is asleep, this astral magnet in the brain switches off, and then the soul, having lost these physical moorings, begins to drift away on its own.

However, all this does not mean that a person cannot control themselves at all in sleep or after death. The methods of controlling the soul in both cases are similar. The soul can be controlled through meditation. A constantly recited mantra, prayer or vow can cross the border of sleep and resound in the dream. The greatest influence on a dream is exerted by the last thought, one that was thought strongly enough. This last thought starts the dream. And the dream has such a feature that almost every subsequent event stems from the previous one, but you can never predict in which direction the plot will develop. The same can be said about death.

External factors from the physical world can influence the events of a dream or the events after death. For example, if something is said to a sleeping person, this can significantly affect the course of the dream. The same happens after death. The course of rebirth can be significantly influenced by the deceased person’s loved ones, their words and their thoughts. In Tibet, specially trained lamas use this technique to guide the soul towards a better possible rebirth. To do this, they recite the *Bardo Thodol* over the deceased.
